Hiking in Prince William Sound

Prince William Sound has an abundance of wildlife. During a hiking / kayaking trip chances are you will see a wide variety of migratory birds, eagles, bears, sea otters, seals, and maybe even sea lions and whales. The Chugach Mountain Range borders Prince William Sound and is a hikers dream come true with everything from snow capped peaks and glaciers to lush green valleys and unexplored tidepools on uninhabited islands.

Prince William sound offers adventure after another with over 3,000 miles of shoreline.

Spend your days exploring a network of hiking trails where you'll see lush vegetation, meadows and wildflowers. Be sure to stop and enjoy a handful of blueberries along the way.

The black sand beaches offer some of the best beachcombing anywhere. Many times the beaches are littered with hundreds of sand dollars and even glass floats washed ashore from for out in the ocean.

The many streams in the area offer excellent fishing for Dolly Varden and salmon which are a real treat prepared over an open campfire.
